Orbits Newsletter is

year February –
December.
Now well and truly into the waning phase of 2008, we still have a few exciting events in store. In September, Molly Talbot presents “Generational Astrology” on the generational influences of the transpersonal planets, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Molly is passionate about her subject and I can highly recommend this talk.
October will see us welcome back to Sydney prominent Melbourne astrologer, Anne Button, to present one of her lectures from the Jan’08 conference, “Enhancing your Readings with Symbolon”. Then in November, respected medical astrologer, Kira Sutherland, will return to offer some more words of wisdom on “Medical Astrology”.
Christmas celebrations have again been planned for Gladesville RSL, where the food was quite exceptional last year, and the irrepressible Tom Muldoon will provide “food for the soul” with “Astrological Ping Pong”. Tom has not yet advised if Dunlop Volleys are pre-requisites for his talk!!
Looking forward to 2009, the first meeting in February will examine the unpredictable, surprising and potentially uplifting 2009, just what we need after a tough decade. Then in March, AANSW celebrates World Astrology Day with a weekend of workshops on 21-22 March with the ever popular, Mari Garcia and Joy Usher of the AstroMundi School of Astrology in South Australia.
The AGM is almost upon us again and the end of the year is nigh – where has it gone? It only seems like a few months ago the committee were all tearing our hair out making sure that the 2008 Conference would run smoothly and now the Queensland FAA are well on the way to organising a great conference for 2010. The theme for the next conference is ‘Surfing the Waves of Consciousness’. So start saving your pennies as this is gearing up to become another great astrological conference.
The flyer for World Astrology Day celebrations is in this issue. As I stated in the last Newsletter we decided to divide the weekend into four stand alone modules (2 Sat/2 Sun). Hopefully, those who cannot do the whole weekend will take the opportunity to do at least one or two modules to celebrate World Astrology Day in a way Astrologers enjoy, sharing with like-minded friends and colleagues. It would be a shame to miss out on these seminars with Mari and Joy, two of the top professional astrologers in this country.
Speaking of top professional astrologers, we are presenting Anne Button in October doing a talk on ‘Enhancing your Readings with Symbolon’ – see the write up opposite.
You will have noticed that Neil Hair has written the Vice President’s Report this month. Neil is also conducting out first talk in 2009 as he stated in his report.
Gregory has gone North for a short break and will return in time for our September meeting. Planet Watch won’t be in this issue but will return in the September Newsletter. Speaking of heading North our Treasurer Anita has just returned from a visit to the Sunshine Coast. Mixing business with pleasure, Anita attended the FAA Exam Board meeting in Byron Bay on the way through to Sunny Queensland.
Cheers Cecily
