In 2011, the pace was relentless towards 2012, widely reported as the end of the Mayan Calendar. Alarmists view 21st December 2012 as the “end of the world” while optimists see 2012 as a time of “new beginning” for humanity. A third view supported by historical and biological evidence is that the Mayan Calendar actually ended on 28th October 2011! This aligns with numerology’s view that 2012 has the potential to be a more integrating, unifying year than 2011 which was symbolically more conducive to splits and divisions than to unity. Events in the Middle East, Europe, USA and around the world bore testament to 2011.
Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn move into “square aspect” again from June to September 2012, so the battle of individual rights against entrenched power will renew. However, the divisive energy of 2011 has alleviated and the integrative masculine-feminine thrust of 1 and 2 has been activated. In 2012, a Universal Year 5, a “new beginning” is a distinct possibility with re-integration of things cast asunder by 2011’s upheaval and breakdown of old outmoded structures. 2011 was one Universal Year 4 with a difference !
In 2012, the challenge is to let go the negative and divisive strategies of the “old way”, and patiently select positive and integrative pathways for a “new way”. Neil will discuss the numerological and astrological influences of 2012 and how they affect the World, including Australia as China enters a fortuitous period, USA in a federal election year, and Europe as it tries to emerge from financial crisis.

In view of the fact that we have so many cassettes and CDs now in our library and the sheer weight of carrying them to the meetings each month is enormous, the committee has decided to archive the older ones, and those less popular.
There will be a list of those archived available from Maureen or Chris, and the items can be ordered for borrowing at the following month’s meeting. I hope to get the list up on the website so that you may order before an upcoming meeting. Thank you for your understanding.
AANSW has implemented a policy for late or non-return of CDs/Tapes from our CD/Tape Library. This policy is effective as of the 2nd August Committee Meeting, 2008.
The cost of hiring CDs etc remains the same.
A late fee to the equivalent of one monthly hire fee, i.e. $3/CD or $10 for 4CDs will be charged for non-return by the due date.
