PRESIDENT

Dr Neil Hair is President of the Astrology Association of NSW and Principal of the Sydney School of Numerology. He teaches personal and business numerology courses and workshops, consults to individuals and businesses using numerology and astrology, and researches the destinies of nations. Neil’s original background is in chemistry and he taught at high school and university, before becoming a financial analyst, software designer and managing director of a software house. He began studying and researching numerology and astrology in 1981, teaching numerology from 1992, and established Sydney School of Numerology in 2000. Neil resumed teaching at a natural therapies college from 2006 to 2018, tutoring and lecturing in chemistry and biochemistry, and is fascinated by the overlap between science and spirituality. He is currently writing a book on numerology to document his research and practice of numerology over the past 35 years.

Anita has had a lifelong interest in astrology that led to her achieving the FAA Diploma of Astrology in 2002. She has been the Treasurer of AANSW Inc since 2002 and a FAA National Council Member since 2003. Anita has served as the FAA President and Vice President since 2006 and is also the FAA representative within the FAA Exam Board. For her contributions and service to astrology and support of the Australian astrology community, Anita has been awarded Fellowship of the FAA and APA and Life Membership of the APA. Anita was a Convener of the remarkably successful 2008 and 2016 FAA International Astrology Conferences.

Anita’s passion for astrology has seen her present at AANSW meetings and teach astrology to individuals and small groups. Anita brings to her consultations many years of experience in astrology.

SECRETARY / ONLINE MEETING CONVENOR

Kate has a keen interest in traditional astrology and has been a valued committee member of AANSW since July 2009. Her current role is as Secretary which she commenced in 2010. She has been a National Councillor for the AANSW since 2011 and served as FAA Vice President.

Kate has contributed her financial skills as an accountant, and provided valuable financial advice and insights for both the AANSW and FAA. She has previously edited the Orbits Newsletter for AANSW and continues to be the online presence for many members.

Kate has been the technical wiz who transitioned AANSW to online meetings during COVID-19 that allowed regional and interstate members to participate in meetings. She continues in the role of online meeting convenor.

Christine Thomas (aka Christina Stargazer) is a consultant, researcher and writer who practices astrology and numerology in the Illawarra, South Coast and Southern Highlands. Christine teaches astrology to the FAA syllabus to a professional level or introduces you to astrology via short courses. Christine uses horary astrology to help clients locate anything missing or lost. Christine currently sits on the National Council of the FAA.

Michelle Mravunac has been a passionate student of astrology since 1995 and is currently in the process of doing the FAA Diploma Examinations. She aims to achieve a Diploma of Astrology in the coming year. Michelle combines astrology with her clinical practice as a naturopath, clinical nutritionist and energetic healer. She has a particular interest in evolutionary astrology and enjoys assisting clients to understand themselves, their relationships and their potential purpose in this lifetime. She is currently studying with Sydney Astrology School.

Wendy Blume is an accredited practising astrologer and winner of the Doris Greaves Gold Medal. After a life-long passion for astrology, she committed to serious study with the Faculty of Astrological Studies, UK in 2018. Forming Northern Beaches Astrology in 2022, Wendy now consults with clients in person and over Zoom, offering natal chart reading, forecasting, electional, relocation and synastry services. For 25 years, Wendy worked as a designer and editor on newspapers, books and magazines - a skillet she now brings to the monthly Orbits newsletter.
